Working With Other Modes of Healing

Homeopathy is compatible with all the other modes of healing out there and I have learned not to be dogmatically for, or against, any therapy (even pharmaceuticals).

In our culture, we often need to learn to do less, and in homeopathy, less is more. Once you get in touch with your own inner healer you can customize your healing approach and cut out unnecessary interventions. Excessive biomedical and pharmaceutical treatments will gradually drain the vital force and slow down the homeopathic, vitalistic, source of healing.

A lot of people treated with a mainstream medical approach have been on various types of pharmaceuticals and it's possible that you or your child is currently taking antibiotics, steroids, stimulants, etc.

While some homeopaths will say that remedies will not work while a child is taking pharmaceuticals, if a patient is dedicated to weaning himself or his child off of them under the guidance of a healthcare professional, I will still begin homeopathic treatment.

I have found that the correct remedy can still create shifts, even while on medications, allowing parents to gain the courage to trust homeopathy and wean the child off the meds.

However, heavier duty pharmaceutical treatment, particularly steroids, psych meds, and anticonvulsants, will significantly dampen the capacity of the child's vital force to respond to a remedy since the nature of the drug is inhibitory or suppressive, so the body is challenged in finding natural homeostasis. The endless "kill" mentality of taking drugs to fight infection (antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals), is also at odds with homeopathy for this same reason, and can lead to deeper imbalances in gastrointestinal flora, making the road back to health a steeper climb.

Pathogens evolve rapidly and can outwit pharmaceuticals so it's a wise game-plan to strengthen the body's innate immunity with natural medicine. If you have had a bad experience with a particular drug(s) make sure to mention this to your homeopath.

The most successful cases I have worked with include an empowered and proactive parent who learns about homeopathy, has faith in the homeopathic process of healing, and understands the differences between suppression of illness and the homeopathic healing of illness. The work of the homeopath alone will not heal you or your child; it takes your active participation. The homeopath's job is to be a partner and coach in your healing.

Diatomaceous Earth - DE - Friend or Foe?

There's a very popular topic around here should you need a subject of conversation - that's worms, yes, of the intestinal kind (not the intellectual kind. I used to be a book worm, I guess I still am in a way).  Worms? Because they infect so many people so fast, it's important to find an alternative to the current medical solution which is basically poison to the body. For months I prayed to find one so we could get rid of these parasites, visiting my children's rectum every night (sorry for the visual).  I tried a soup recipe with all the types of food supposed to get rid of worms. Even homeopathy doesn't kill the parasites. Vermox, the medical option, works sometimes and sometimes not, but who knows what damage it does while it travels the body.  One day, I come across this post on hpathy.com, one of my favorite homeopathy reference website: "Stumbled upon this post, but I want to let anyone know who feels hopeless about parasites, especially worms. I once decided to buy them all (almost at once) and see what I could do with them. True, I could have found out  first  a recipe and  then  buy the product but where's the fun in that?  So now we're dealing with a few ingredients I need to find a recipe for: coconut oil, coconut water, coconut milk, coconut flour...
