All the following cases are taken from Yael Meir Homeopathy's Private Practice. Of course, all of them are anonymous.

Let me start with the cases connected to ADD/ADHD - concentration issues

👀Concentration issues in a Small Boy

Boy A was having concentration issues while learning and his behavior was also very problematic at home. After trying for months with a first remedy which improved the situation, we switched to a second one that was closer to the symptom pictures and the results were very satisfying. He was able to study nicely with his father and didn't disrupt the harmony of the home so much.

👀Angry Little Boy

This young boy of 7 was very angry at home and disturbed the peace in the family. The mother described his personality to me and with one remedy we were able to put things under control again.

His little brother also benefited from a remedy (not the same one) that brought him more calm.

Incidentally, when one of them had a ear infection they also used homeopathy in a successful way (I prescribed Belladonna according to the symptoms at the time).

👀 Milk Sensitivity in a Young Boy

Boy B had concentration issues and a lot of coryza from a milk allergy. After a few days of the remedy Natrum Carbonicum, the boy had much less coryza and the rebbe noticed a real improvement in his concentration level in the class. He also had a symptom, involuntary stool, which I couldn't help with homeopathy and I sent the mother to a good therapist who could help with that. The boy also suffered from headaches which did disappear with homeopathy (albeit with a different remedy). After a few months, the coryza did come back (but much less) and the headaches didn't. He's still doing great in school.

In this case of self-diagnosed ADHD mom, we found depression, overwhelming sense of responsibility with fears and anxiety. Mother D. we'll call her was under many medications, which we successfully reduced to a minimum. Lady C. was able to feel much less depressed (improvement of 80% about) after we found her homeopathic remedy, specific to her case. Once she took it regularly she didn't feel the need to use the conventional medicine which she didn't want anymore because of the side effects. 👀 Young Lady can't focus

Young Lady A was having trouble concentrating on her tasks at work and in life in general, she felt it was hindering her from reaching her potential. She took one remedy which helped a bit and then a second, different one which made a big difference (about 70% improvement in her ability to focus). Her sleep was also improved (which is a sign we have the right remedy). With Bach flowers, she was able to get even better results.

😡 Angry and Hyperactive Boy

This young man was not being very nice with his family members, some of them were even afraid of him and his parents didn't trust him to stay alone with the smaller children. After meeting him, I was able BH to pinpoint his remedy and we saw a real improvement, really quickly. He felt much calmer and centered and didn't need to act out his anger anymore. He took one or two doses and didn't need more for at least a few months after that.

👼 Suppressed Anger Issues

This sweet little boy came from a very disfunctional familial situation and we were able to calm his angry outburst with one remedy, used as per needed. The mother also benefited from her own homeopathic remedy for her mental issues and harmony was eventually restored in the family.

👀 Intense Hesitation

With Lady H., we were faced with a case of almost suicidal hesitation. This mother was always hesitating between options of what to do and what to say. She felt uncomfortable with herself, almost disgusted with life. Her homeopathic remedy was able to make her feel at least 80% within a few days. She felt more relaxed, more comfortable in her own skin, and wanted to help the rest of her family with homeopathy as well.

😕 Young boy suffering from anorexia

This boy, almost bar-mitzva, was so into learning that his parents didn't worry that he was losing weight and energy, at least not at first. At some point he had to be hospitalized because of all the weight issues and he would just refuse to eat (it's too materialistic to eat). Arsenicum was able to put a smile on his face, to make him more happy to be part of the family meal, and to bring his morale into balance. The anorexia per se had to be dealt with a dietician and both treatments together are bringing this boy into a healed state. He still loves to learn but he enjoys more life around it also.

At some point he stopped the homeopathy. After a few weeks he started vomiting after eating. I told her mother to resume the remedy and the vomiting stopped.

🤡 Sad Little Boy

This young teenager was acting like a clown both at home and in class, even though he was sad inside. Sad because he was missing his dad, and his mom was also working a lot. But he wouldn't let the others know about this and acted hyperactive to make sure no one would ever know. But you can't fool a homeopath! I saw right through his sad little eyes and his sad little jokes. The remedy Nat-mur helped him be more natural, express his feelings better, and lower his hyperactivity to the point that he doesn't need as much Ritalin now. We're hoping to remove it completely in the coming weeks or months. The mother is thrilled with the progress, and also the improvements of his brothers, the next two stories below.

😢 Happy or Whiny?

Little 3-year old Bobby (fake name) was crying all the time, tired, complaining, etc. a nightmare for his parents, especially because he used to be such a happy child. After seeing him in the park (natural environment for a child) it didn't take me long to see the Calcarea type so frequent in this kind of children. A bit on the heavy side, with his bottle in hand (the ones we give to toddlers), didn't want to go play only attached to his mom. After one dose he was a different child: smiling, laughing, more active and independant. The mother was above the clouds! Now he takes his remedy now and then according to the need but both parents were so happy to see the child they knew from before: a happy and energetic child.

🐍 The Wise Teenager

Boy Chacham we'll call it, sociable and charming, hard to pin down at first. He did make his mother feel bad during the interview, about her not being home enough for him. But what made the remedy clear for me was how he described eating an egg: it gave him the feeling of chocking. I asked him to describe the sensation (according to the interview technique of Dr. Sankaran) and it clearly reminded me of a popular remedy for hyperactive children: Lachesis, from the snake of the same name. That same boy, who had reading and writing issues, saw within a week or two some serious improvements in his class performance on both levels: "mom! today I was able to write all that the teacher wrote on the board!" and a week later "mom! I was able to write all the answers to my exam! I knew the answers and I was finally able to write them down!"

🍭Wild Young Girl

This little girl of 11 was a bit too wild and impulsive for her mother, her teacher and her friends' taste. She would go to bed very late, wake up late and tired, act in a way that wasn't appropriate. However, she didn't want to meet me personally because she didn't want anyone to think that something might be wrong with her. I agreed to take her case anyway and interviewed both her mother and her sister. I saw some pictures also. After I found the remedy and the mother gave her the first dose, she improved more than 80% in her behavior and sleep patters. She would go to bed early and wake up early and be much calmer.

1) Ups and Downs: a Hormonal Case

Lady A came to me at the beginning of my practice. Her list of complaints was long, my head was spinning. I didn't know where to start. So I ask her what's the most urgent issue she wants to deal with.

She gave me two:

#1 warts of her hands

#2 vomiting in the morning.

So for the warts I gave her Thuya and they went away in a few days.

The vomiting episodes in the morning were more tricky. We identified a possible cause: the medicines she was taking (Cipralex and Nexium). So we made a remedy out of Nexium and the vomiting stopped. We gave her a few tips in terms of general diet: stop sugar and coffee, and offered a smoothie remedy. She came back a year later to get help for her mood swings. We found a remedy for her that helped for this and also lowered the frequency of her headaches. She wanted to get off the pill and get pregnant again but was afraid of the side-effects so we discuss options of detox her system from the side-effects of the pills on her hormonal system and with her constitutional remedy (the one that calmed her mood swings) we are able to give her a feeling of (relative) serenity while pregnant.

Last time we spoke to lady A, she felt her mood swings were more under control, her general health improved (no major symptoms anymore) and she was looking forward to being a mother again.

2) Varicose Veins from Pregnancy

Lady B was complaining of painful varicose veins, which came up after pregnancy #4 (her mother also suffered from it). It seems Hamamelis was the right remedy since it gave her a boost of energy (a good sign) and her veins were not hurting as much. She felt relieved.

Lady C told us about her painful hemorrhoids (felt like knives sticking out) and was very happy with the Aesculus cream we gave her, with immediate results. Months after she's still satisfied of the effect the cream has on her. Incidentally, she mentioned a pain in the hip from a bus accident over 10 years ago. After we gave her Arnica, the pain almost completely disappeared (even after all these years!)

8) Emergency Urinary Trac Infection

Lady D has had many episodes of urinary trac infection since her spine operation, probably from the important quantity of antibiotics in her system. One emergency situation, the pain was very intense, she called me up and told me about her case. We found a remedy that removed the pain completely and gave her the feeling that "her head was above water" after so many months of feeling tired and confused from the operation. She continued using homeopathy after that instead of antibiotics and reached a new level of health and energy. During a follow-up a year after she said she no longer has her chronic urinary infections.

10) Expecting Mother with Nausea

Mother of Boy B discussed above came to me about a year later, she was pregnant after years of waiting. She felt very weak and nauseous, I had to come to her to take the case. I gave her one remedy to treat the weakness and nausea, which worked quickly. After, I recommended three remedies to prepare for the birth (physically and mentally).
